(Our Very First) Video Review On Eggslut
Yes, we did our first video review! Around 2 minutes long (but spent around 5 days to edit). No face of ours (still shy about it) and no narration. Just words, pictures, tons of animations and a background music, Hope you can watch it, like it (if you enjoy it) or even subscribe to our channel to give us some encouragement to do more. Thanks!
Our Review On Eggslut (Orchard)
![Eggslut (Orchard) 1 Eggslut at Scotts Square](https://images.eattravelshiok.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/16220636/EggSlut-001.jpg)
We visited Eggslut at Scotts Square (Orchard) on a very hot Sunday afternoon and luckily for us, there was no long queue – just a pair of gentlemen. One female staff signaled us to join the queue and she went back to the Ordering/Cashier Counter after that.
A short wait of 5 minutes later, we just followed the customers in front and joined the queuing lines inside. The queue was fast moving so we had only a quick view of their merchandises on the side and at their large Menu Screen (another smaller menu near the Cashier) and we were ready to order. One of us stayed in the queue while the other went to get a seat.
What’s On Their Menu?

We went with their Cheese Burger Double ($17.50), Slut ($11), Craft Soda (Elderflower & Lemon – $5) and Specialty Cold Brew Black ($7). We were asked if we had a seat (and luckily we had one) and we were then given a buzzer. Payment was made with a Credit Card. Listed Prices were final with no additional charges.
A View Of Their Kitchen Area
![Eggslut (Orchard) 3 Kitchen and Serving Area](https://images.eattravelshiok.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/16220638/EggSlut-003.jpg)
This was the view of their Kitchen Area behind the Ordering Counter. The place was pretty crowded and the staff count was like less than 10 so not too sure if they were shorthanded on that day.
How’s The Taste?
We waited for around 15 minutes before the Buzzer started buzzing and the two drinks were served first at their Serving Area. 30 seconds later, the two mains were served.
— Craft Soda (Elderflower & Lemon) & Specialty Cold Brew Black
![Eggslut (Orchard) 4 Craft Soda and Specialty Cold Brew Black](https://images.eattravelshiok.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/16220639/EggSlut-006.jpg)
For the Craft Soda (Elderflower and Lemon), it tasted like plain Carbonated Tonic Water. No significant Lemon taste in it. In our view, this is not recommended.
For the Specialty Cold Brew Black, it is without any sugar and no signs of any sugar syrup. Taste wise – not too bitter, strong and acidic and with a strong taste of coffee.
— Slut

This Slut dish is basically a mixture of Mashed Potato at the bottom and Half-Boiled Egg at the top. It came with greens so you may want to ask to remove if you are not a fan of it. This dish also came with 3 slices of toasted baguette with a bit of olive-like oil.
We tried two ways of eating this Dish.
The first way was to dip the Baguette into the Half-Boiled Egg and breaking the Egg Yolk. The Baguette soaked up the creamy Egg Yolk well and it was tasty with the crunchy Baguette.
The second way was to mix the Potato and Egg well then spreading it over the baguette. This time round, the mashed potato had a stronger (and milky) taste and the taste was enjoyable.
— Cheeseburger Double

This Cheeseburger Double dish was made up of 2 ground angus beef patties, over medium egg, caramelized onions, bread & butter pickles, cheddar cheese – all these inside a warm brioche bun.
Size was big enough for a hand and we wanted to slice it up but could not find any knife and fork. So we had to eat it carefully without the ingredients falling out.
The Brioche Bun had a warm thin skin and fluffy texture which was nice on its own or eating it together with the beef patty, pickles, cheese and onions.
Cheese was okay. Caramelized Onions was well hidden (not that easy to take out) and tasted sweet. Pickles were okay and not too sour.
The Ground Beef was tender and juicy. Nice to eat it like a steak as well.
Squeezing the buns together would break the egg and the yolk would ooze out. The yolk had a rich creamy taste.
