Our Review on 111 Western (Ang Mo Kio Ave 4)
We chanced upon this 111 Western Food Stall on Google Map when we were looking for something all-meat meal just before our Aerial Yoga lesson in the area. There were other popular options like Tenderbest and Common Grill in the same neighbourhood but we decided to give this a try.
This 111 Western Food Stall is located inside a coffeeshop operated by Food Loft and there are other interesting outlets here like Hong Ji Claypot Herbal Bak Kut Teh, Hoong Cheng Seafood and 大叔麻辣香锅.
Menu, What We Ordered and Payment
There are like over 20 items in their menu – Mushroom Soup ($3.30), Chicken Wing Rice ($4.80), Chicken Nugget ($5.00), Chicken Chop / Chicken Cutlet Rice / Fish or Chicken Burger ($5.50), Pork Chop Rice ($5.80), Grilled Fish / Fish Fillet Rice ($7.80), Chicken Chop, Chicken Cutlet, Grilled Fish, Fish & Chips, Chicken Chop Pasta, Chicken Cutlet Pasta , Grilled Fish Pasta, Fish Fillet Pasta ($8.50), Spring Chicken, Lamb Chop Rice / Pasta ($13.50), Ribeye Steak Pasta / Rice ($16.80).
We ordered their Lamb Chop Pasta and Ribeye Steak (Medium) Rice.
Payment was done on the spot by scanning the QR Code. This stall does not accept any credit cards.
Taste
It took somehow around 30 mins for our buzzer to sound and we had to make two trips to the stall to collect our items. We had to make another trip back to the stall because one of the utensils was still dirty and many other utensils in the tray were still dirty too so it took us awhile to find clean utensils.
— Lamb Chop Pasta
This Lamb Chop with Pasta came with a big serving of pasta and lots of tomato paste as well as three Lamb Slices with mushroom sauce.
The pasta was al dente, perfectly cooked, and has a lovely tender with a slight bite texture! The Tomato Sauce that they used was also rich and savory. We quite enjoyed this pasta.
There were 3 pieces of lamb steak. They were rather thin and the edges were cooked very crispy and some of the meat came with chewy fats. There were also no unpleasant gamy smell or taste. The thick mushroom sauce and chewy mushroom bits enhanced the taste of the lamb.

This Ribeye Steak with Rice came with a big serving of flavoured rice, coleslaw and a Ribeye Steak with Mushroom Sauce.
The rice was nice and it was not white rice but yellowish flavored. An online comment said that it was Chicken Rice but didn’t taste the same for us. If you can identify it after you tried, please do drop a comment below.
The mayonnaise that came with the Coleslaw was very thick and creamy but luckily not too overwhelming. The coleslaw tasted good on its own or together with the rice. We nearly felt full after eating half of it.
We had our Ribeye Steak to be cooked medium and it was a bit tough in overall texture and the sad part was that there was no veins or fats on this Ribeye Steak. The meat was a bit bland but likewise the mushroom sauce and mushroom bits enhanced the taste quite a bit.
