All Things Delicious at Arab Street: Our Tasty Review of Their Halal Sunday Roast Chicken & Crackle Egg!

Our Review On All Things Delicious (Arab Street)

All Things Delicious (Arab Street)

We were in the vicinity of Arab Street and we decided to try out this, always crowded and Halal. All Things Delicious after our Hot Yoga lesson.

We could not get any indoor seats and we made good with a outdoor table for two. No QR Code is available and we were given physical Menus.

Their Menu and What We Ordered

All Things Delicious Menu - Drinks

In their menu, they have categories like:

  • All Day Breakfast
  • Sides
  • Sunday Specials
  • Salads & Starters
  • Nibbles
  • Dessert
  • Beverages

There’s no QR Code ordering so it’s the traditional way of putting our hands up and one of their staff came to our table and took our order. We went with their Sunday Roast Chicken ($28.90) from their Sunday Specials, Crackle Crunch Scotch Egg ($17.90) from their Salads & Starters, Raspberry Mint ($8.90) and Banana Granola ($8.90) from their Lassi.

The Taste

— Raspberry Mint & Banana Granola

Raspberry Mint & Banana Granola

According to their Menu, this Raspberry Mint is their Signature Lassi (Wikipedia – a yogurt–based beverage with a smoothie-like consistency) and their All-Time Favourites and the Banana Granola is made from their house blend Granola.

Raspberry Mint tasted really smooth and we could taste both the Raspberry and Mint. The Banana Granola was served with a Metal Straw (a really thoughtful gesture) because of the overall thick creamy texture. It was also nice with a nutty taste.

— Sunday Roast Chicken

Sunday Roast Chicken

According to the All Things Delicious’ Menu, this Sunday Roast Chicken Dish consists of Half Spring Bird, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes, Broccollini and Rosemary Deglaze Sauce.

Yorkshire Pudding from the Sunday Roast Chicken

The initial taste of the Yorkshire Pudding felt like those Fluffy Roti Prata with egg – cripsy on the exterior and soft on the inside and with an eggy taste.

Broccolini, Carrot, Roast Potatoes

Without looking at the menu, we thought that the long stem vegetable is like an over sprouted Asparagus, but they were actually known as Broccolini, which is a hybrid vegetable of Broccoli and Kai Lan. The stemy part tasted like Kai Lan and the top part was a mixed taste of less broccoli and more of Kai Lan.

For the potatoes, All Things Delicious used those Red Skin type which was visible on the exterior of the potatoes. They tasted with a slight tinge of sweetness, smooth and slightly oily (probably because of the sauce). This definitely tasted different from those usual potato wedges.

Roast Chicken

The half spring bird was rather small but we liked the crunchy exterior and the still juicy white meat.

— Crackle Crunch Scotch Egg

Crackle Crunch Scotch Egg

According to the menu, the Crackle Crunch Scotch Egg consists of a perfectly cooked soft centre egg with mince beef and crispy outer shell, mushy peas and grainy mustard sauce. Not mentioned on the menu are the baby tomatoes and some green vegetables.

Perfectly cooked Soft Centre Egg

The egg was indeed still soft when we ate it but there was a certain degree of saltiness.

Mushy Peas, Vegetables and Baby Tomatoes

Underneath the egg was a layer of green stuff which was a mixture of thick mushy peas and some green vegetables. It also came with three squishy baby tomatoes. Our suggestion is to eat the mushy peas either with the soury mustard sauce or with some of the other ingredients like baby tomatoes, vegetables, the crunchy mince beef.

Crunchy Mince Beef

The external layer hugging the egg was a double layer of mince beef and crunchy crust. Taste was a bit salty so best to eat with some of the mushy peas.

Payment

After finishing our orders, we made our payment inside.
