Nunsaram Korean Dessert Cafe can be considered as one of the pioneers of Korean Bingsoo in Singapore and they offer many icy creations with flavors authentic to this popular Korean dessert. They have two outlets – Orchard Central (already closed) and Westgate.

We visited the Nunsaram Korean Dessert Cafe, located at Level 5 of Orchard Central, as our last stop for our half-day dating at Orchard Road. Before this, we had our quick bites over at The Sushi Bar and Baker’s Brew.

The place was rather crowded but we stood around and managed to grab seats after a couple, next to us, left and we had to help to clear the bowls.

They had quite a selection of Snow Flake Bingsus to choose from:

  • Injeolmi ($12.90)
  • Pat (Red Bean) ($12.90)
  • Oreo ($12.90)
  • Choco Banana ($13.90)
  • Green Tea ($13.90)
  • Sweet Potato ($14.90)
  • Choco ($14.90)
  • Blueberry ($15.90)
  • Strawberry ($15.90)
  • Mango ($15.90)
  • Black Sesame ($15.90)
  • Cheese ($15.90)

With the options to Add Ice Cream (+$1.5) and Pat (Red Bean) (+$2.50)

They also offer mainly Coffee (Hot / Cold) and Choco (Hot / Cold) Drinks as well as and Sides like (Honey / Spicy / Cheese) Tteogkkochi, Injeolmi Toast and (Honey / Chocolate / Garlic Cheese) Bread.

We went with their Black Sesame Bingsu and added Pat (Red Bean).

— Black Sesame Bingsu With Red Bean

Nunsaram Bingsu

We tried their Black Sesame Bingsu with Red Bean which was one of their popular choices. The other popular choice was their Green Tea Bingsu.

The shaved ice was quite smooth and similar to the ones that we ate at Sul-Bing (Popular Bingsu in Seoul). It came with a small bowl of condensed milk that we could add and mix to sweeten the taste. We tried adding a bit of it and it ended up being messy.

Overall, the mixed taste with the rest of the servings was good. Only issue we had was that the Red Beans, Almond Flakes and Mochi Servings were a little too little for the price we paid.

It took a while for both of us to finish the bowl. Luckily we had the tray as it got even messier with our scoops. After we were done, we just placed the tray back at the end of the counter and our table was ready for the next guests.

With this meal, we ended our Half-Day Dating at Orchard Road.
