Our Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Café Review
Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Café is a Western Food Cafe located inside the MAJ Aviation Building at Seletar Aerospace View where you can enjoy Western (and a small selection of Malay and Japanese) Food, take photos with Vintage Bicycle, Accessories and Cars as well as enjoying the view (and sound) of Private Planes taking off from the nearby runway.

We were there on a Drizzling Sunday Afternoon (around 2pm) and though this was considered a pretty secluded place… there were still plenty of people eating there.
A nice view attracted us as we saw a few different vintage cars on display before we stepped into the café. There were no barriers around them so we had a little fun posing and taking photos.

When we walked further up to the cafe, we saw two sections – a sheltered open space and an enclosed area.
There were no staffs and no cashier counter at the open area and many of the tables there were not cleared as well. It was until we realized there was a narrow passageway (with some nice displayed bicycle parts and accessories) that led to an aircon area (the enclosed sitting area). This was also where all the customers were hiding and we saw the cashier counter where we could make our order!
Note: the entrance to the aircon (enclosed) area was actually right beside the Soek Seng sign. We were just unlucky not to see anyone exiting from that door while we tried to get a table on our own.
What We Ordered?
— The Food & Drink Menu

The Mains Menu from Soek Seng 1954 Bicycle Cafe consists mostly of Western Food and Sides, Malay and Japanese. Items were reasonably priced. We went with the Mega Beef Burger ($16.80) and Fish & Chips ($11.80) (which seemed to be a popular item among the customers there).

For their Drinks Menu, they had quite a selection to choose from. Coffee (Iced and Hot) looked a bit overpriced. We were not into their bottle of Mineral Water and while they did serve Ice Water, it was 50 cents a cup, so a no no for us. We ended up going for this carbonated Belvoir Organic Ginger Beer Press Drink (forgot the price…).
— Belvoir Organic Ginger Beer Press Drink

This Organic Ginger Beer Press Drink (250ml) was only enough for one cup… Taste was more of lemon juice mixed with traces of ginger.
— Mega Beef Burger ($16.80)

The Mega Beef Burger set came quite fast.
The overall burger size was nowhere near mega (or bigger than Big Mac) but the beef patty was thick (maybe the mega was referring to the patty), juicy and tasty (maybe that’s why this dish is $16.80). We could feel the patty coming apart as crumbs as we bit through it. The taste was definitely different from what we ate from those fast food restaurants. Both Chips (sour cream) and Salads in Vinegar Sauce were supposedly there to whelp up our appetite. This dish was worth trying!
Another thing to try with their meat and/or fries was their Chili Sauce which had a special spicy taste, something different from those bottled chili sauce from major supermarkets.
— Fish & Chips ($11.80)

The fish & chips was normal and the (tartar?) sauce in the white sauce cup was disappointing. It tasted like mayonnaise which had been diluted too much with water. The greens also came with slices of onion – so take note!
