We Found The New Hua Shan Roasted Delights From 681 Hougang Ave 8!

Hua Shan Roasted Delights was one of the food stall that we reviewed back in June 2018 and since then that post became quite a popular post (according to our Google Analytics Report) among the meat lovers.
And two of our Readers (thanks Hua Shan Lover and Sushien!) brought to our attention that they have stopped operating in that outlet after 30 years and that they have shifted over to a new location – 122 Ang Mo Kio Ave 3.
This was a good piece of news and we decided to visit this new outlet.
The New Owner

When we were there, we only saw 1 guy from the old gang (he handled all the meat back in the old stall) and a new assistant (whom we think is his Dad).
There was a short queue when we were there (seems like the appeal is still there) and we managed to confirm with the guy that this stall was originally the Hua Shan Roasted Delights from 681 Hougang Ave 8. Only sad thing was the old gang and the Boss were no longer involved.
How Was The Food?

The Roasted Chicken tasted very much the same as we had from the Old Stall. Skin was crispy. Meat was very tender and we could taste the thin layer of chicken fats.

The Roasted Pork also tasted the same. Crispy top layer and chewy mid layer. The bottom layer was still salty so may or may not be a liking for all.

We were a bit disappointed with the Char Siew. It did not have much fats (we guessed its more for the heathier choice) as we would have preferred, some fats would have added more oomph to the Char Siew.
Chilli tasted the same – spicy with a tinge of sourness. Rice was also fragrant like the old stall. They only offered some cabbage soup and no longer those Herbal Soups.
Overview
We were happy that this Roasted Meat Stall was taken over by one of the old gang and that he still prepares the food with the same tasty standard for the Roasted Chicken, Roasted Pork, Chilli and Rice.
