Our Waa Cow! Review
Waa Cow! is a Japanese Restaurant which serves Flamed-Torched Wagyu Beef Bowls, Seafood Bowls and Seasonal (like Steak, Butadon, Kaarage) Bowls. They currently have four outlets of which three are catered for dine-in and one which serves as a Cloud Kitchen.
We visited the Waa Cow! Outlet over at Tampines on a Sunday afternoon to try out their Wagyu Beef Bowl and to see how a Cloud Kitchen was operated.
The Ordering Process

The whole ordering process with Waa Cow! was straightforward and everything was handled over at their website – https://www.waacow.sg/. Alternatively, you can order via the Select Cloud Kitchen’s website at https://v3b.order.place/court/5138352183443456
We went with their Yuzu Foie Gras Wagyu Beef Bowl ($26.90) and made it to a Set Meal by adding the Chicken Kaarage (3 pieces for an additional $5). Other Set Meal option was to add Sashimi Set for $5.50 more. Set meals came with a can of Green Tea as well.
There were other Add-ons like:
- Add Foie Gras for $6
- Upsize Beef 50% for $9.90
- Upsize Beef + Foie Gras for $15.90

After that we proceeded with the next step of checking out by choosing the Store Pickup and the Date and Time Options (at least 30 minutes in advance). There were other options like Delivery (at least 2 hours in advance) and Picking Up from other Outlets.
Note: For Special Requests (e.g. you could ask for no garnishes or no Utensils) or Food Allergies, you could add it to the Add Order Note before clicking on the Check Out Button.
We made payment via a Credit Card and after which we received an email confirmation as well as a Whatsapp Message on how to identify the location and how to collect our order.
The Cloud Kitchen Concept And Collection Process

The Cloud Kitchen concept was rather interesting. There was only a small Window (where you could ask for Assistance), many lockers and the screen where it will display the last four number of your mobile and locker number.

We also saw many other food brands operating at the Select Cloud Kitchen as well as many Delivery Riders. Business looked good on that day and it was a hard time maintaining a good social distance while trying to take photos.
Anyway, we were there earlier (before the 30 minutes mark) and our number was already up on the display. We just opened the locker and retrieved the Paper Bag inside and we were all ready to go back to eat!

The Food Taste

The Yuzu Foie Gras Wagyu Beef Bowl came with a lot of green garnishes and they also included a pair of wooden chopsticks and plastic spoon.
The serving side was enough for 1 person. So for the two of us, we just had to learn to give and take on who got to eat more.
We took our first bite on the Chicken Kaarage. They were rather small chunks and the outer skins were not really deep fried and dried. Meat was tender, slightly juicy and had that springy texture as we chewed. Mayonnaise was normal and barely enough for the three pieces.
We took our next bite on the Mentaiko which had this loud and crunchy sound when we chewed. We attacked the Purple Pickles next which were sour and crunchy as well.
Clearing these two exposed the 62 °C (indicated on their site) Onsen Egg underneath which was beginning to harden after a short drive home. We gave it a good mix together with the rice which was drenched with a small layer of, what they called, in-house soy-based beef sauce which tasted sweet on its own.
We tasted the Foie Gras next and we had this satisfying feeling as it slowly melted away inside our mouth. We had the Wagyu Beef Slices last and they did not disappoint as well. The beef slices were thin but tender and well-marinated with their in-house beef sauce. Some of the slices also came with fats with the sides slightly torched (and not burned).
Only thing was that we did not find/taste any Yuzu.
We enjoyed our Yuzu Foie Gras Wagyu Beef from Waa Cow! and we felt that the taste could have been better if we ate there instead of having it as take-away.
