We were in the area on a Sunday Afternoon around 1.30pm and we decided to try out their Curry Fish Head and other dishes.

The place was pretty crowded with many of the alfresco seats and some inside the main area being taken up. Overall decor was bright and traditional. We were given a Table For 2 near the sign and were told to scan the QR Code on the table to make our order.
What We Ordered
Yu Cun Claypot Curry Fish Head has two Menu system – one is powered by this QR Code for Dine-In and the other one is by Oddle for Online Delivery and Reservation. Prices listed in the QR Code Menu are before Service Charge and GST.

They have many items on their Menu so it may take some time to go through and make decisions. They have various Categories like Claypot Fish Head, Seafood, Snack, Chicken, Pork, Beancurd, Omelette, Vegetable, Rice, Drinks, Dessert and Alcohol.
We decided to go with 2 Coke Zero ($2.40 each), Claypot Curry Fish Head (Original, $36), Beancurd with Radish (Small., $11.90) and Rice ($1.20). If you like spicy stuff, you can opt for the Extra Spicy option. Other Add-ons are also available.
The Taste
Overall, the service was very fast. The two Coke Zero came first, followed by the Claypot Curry Fish Head, 5 minutes later, Rice and then the Beancurd with Radish.
— Claypot Curry Fish Head

The Claypot size was definitely enough for two. The Claypot Curry Fish Head was served piping hot (we were told not to touch the edge) with a small burner underneath. There were plenty of ingredients on first glance – vegetables, big fish head, tomatoes, tau pok and lots of curry.

For $36, we thought it was really value for money. The fish was really fresh, juicy and came with lots of meat. There were plenty of bones too but came with lots of meat lodged in between, so we took quite some time to finish up everything.

The curry came with a layer of oil so we had to spend some time to scoop it out too. Other than that, the curry was nice, sweet and spicy with all the mixed essences of the fish and vegetables. We drank it on its own and with the rice.
The Tau Pok was also deeply soaked in the curry so each bite came with a small mouthful of curry. We were careful on our first bite as the curry was still bubbly hot. Tau Pok Skin was also rather chewy and went well with the rice.
Brinjal, Long Beans and Lady Fingers were cooked well so they were rather mushy once we stuffed into our mouth.
This is definitely a Must-Try Dish from Yu Cun Claypot Curry Fish Head.
— Beancurd with Radish

The Beancurd with Radish was served shortly after the Claypot Curry Fish Head. We liked the presentation of this dish. A mixture of greens with Radish bits on top of a rectangular piece of thin golden-looking crispy beancurd. The small serving size was just enough for two. If you are a big fan of Beancurd, you can go for the Large Option.
One of us was not a fan of the greens so we took some time to separate them out.

The crispiness was done evenly thoroughly the beancurd and the beancurd had a strong taste of egg. The first bite of the beancurd was also piping hot.
Sauce was sourly good and went well on its own and with rice. The radish bits were also crunchy.
This is definitely another Must-Try Dish over at Yu Cun Claypot Curry Fish Head.
